Every absence counts. Excused absences are still absences and loss of instructional time.

Documentation must be provided for all excused absences.

A parent/guardian cannot write a note to excuse an absence, but can but can notify the school about the child’s whereabouts.

Schools must contact the student's family after every unexplained absence

The school will reach out to learn why students missed school and how to help. Parents must provide a reason for absences. Follow-up and new outreach is required after two missed days in a row. 

When students are absent they are responsible for making up any missed work.  Parents/students can reach out to the teachers via email or upon returning to school. You may also check google classroom to see if any assignments have been posted, however assignments may have been paper based and assigned in class and not necessarily online.
