Dress Code

Please be advised that all I.S. 392 students are required to wear the school uniform daily.  An enforced dress code supports the orderly nature of the school. Parents are asked to assist in making certain that their child arrives at school in proper school attire. The dress code shall be in effect from the opening of school in September. Decisions regarding appearance are the responsibility of the administration. Faculty and administration will assist in enforcing the dress code. The fact that some type of clothing or footwear, is not specifically forbidden, does not make it acceptable. The decision of the administration is final. Teachers and administrators WILL assign after school detention to any student who violates any of the rules regarding the student dress code on the day of the infraction.  If the dress code is violated repeatedly further disciplinary action will be taken.
